To deliver an user led project for young people aged 13 to 25 years old who have neurodiverse conditions ranging from dyspraxia, dyslexia, autism and ADHD. The users will decide what activities they want to do that would benefit the group. We will ask them to fill in a short form. Based on their responses, we will run activities on what they like to do.

We will run separate sessions for two age groups

  • 13 to 17 years old
  • 18 to 25 years old

Two groups will be delivered for four hours a week. Two hours for each group. This will be a trial project running for a year.

The aim is to break down barriers the group face in society. We want to show the group can have great outcomes in life. Neurodiverse individuals are very misunderstood in society. One of the trustees has the lived experience of neurodiversity in the education and work environment. He has a knowledge and an understanding of the challenges facing the group.

Here are a few ideas the group could work on

  • Podcasting : To run a regular podcasting sessions to talk about
what activities are available locally for neurodiverse groups
  • Campaign Awareness: Raising awareness about neurodiverse
    conditions through videos
  • Creative and life workshops: Running creative and life
workshops like baking, art, creative writing, finance, cooking
  • Dance : Run dance sessions for neurodiverse individuals to
    highlight their talent.

If you know anyone who may benefit, please pass on. Please kindly fill in a survey to get your thoughts and views about the project for neurodiverse individuals through the link
