Born and raised in the North East of England, Theresa has recently joined Endeavour from another large firm on Teesside. She specialises in Employment Law and has often been called upon by clients from the public and private sectors to advise in relation to data protection issues which can cause significant headaches to HR professionals.
Theresa works across many sectors, having clients from professional services to manufacturing industries. She is known as being very straight talking and feedback from her clients is that she delivers solutions that they want within the parameters of employment law quickly and at lowest possible risk.
This morning she will be covering the new GDPR and what you might need to update within your businesses.
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
Theresa will be taking us through what will be changing in respect of data protection principles, why the revised GDPR matters and what you will need to be doing to ensure compliance.
She will take you through the definitions and the rights and freedoms which will be imposed when the law comes into effect on 25 May along with changes in the regime which means updated notification requirements when things go wrong and what sanctions, including very harsh financial penalties which could be imposed if you fail to act.
